JUSTIN COOPER RECENT EDITORIAL

UPDATED: February issue of French Elle again shot by Justin... Glossy magazines around the world have been adorning their pages with the alluring, understated images of Paris-based photographer Justin Cooper. French Elle furnished the cover of its November 2008 issue with one of his portraits, while the current issue of Soon Magazine showcases "Goldie", a stunning collaboration with stylist Laurent Dombrowicz and make-up artist Carole Lasnier.
Cooper's images consistently "de-beautify" the model, thus challenging traditional conceptions of beauty. Distill Magazine explored this theme in its review of Cooper's shoot from Deutsch Magazine, comparing him to the late American avant-garde photographer Man Ray. Again, Cooper worked with Dombrowicz and Lasnier on this project.
